Walmart Christmas Price Match Guarantee: Lowest Prices Guaranteed!

Did you know that Walmart has a Christmas Price Match Guarantee?  They do!  If you’ve bought what you think is a hot deal, only to realize a week or two later that it’s cheaper somewhere else – no worries, you can still get the lowest price offered!
Here’s how it works: If a customer buys an eligible product at Walmart anytime between Nov. 1 and Dec. 25, and then finds that same product advertised for less at another store, Walmart will give the customer a gift card (or refund) for the difference through Dec. 25. Guaranteed.
Walmart’s Christmas Price Guarantee is valid on purchases made Nov. 1 through Dec. 25 on identical items (the same brand, size, color, quantity, grade and model number) that are currently available at competitor’s stores located within the same local market as a particular Walmart store.
To apply for the Christmas Price Guarantee, customers need to simply bring in their original Walmart cash register receipt and the local competitor’s current printed ad to Walmart’s Customer Service desk through Dec. 25. Once validated, a gift card for the difference will be issued. Items placed on layaway will also be eligible for the Christmas Price Guarantee.

Can this be done with items purchased from Walmart originally? I bought one of those $49 scooters on Black Friday; tonight I noticed they had been marked down to $39. Also, I bought a pair of Snow Bib Pants for $17.47 in the store (earlier tonight) and just saw them on the website for $12. Thanks for your help!

That is interesting because their low price guarantee use to extend to online prices. I know because they had to match a price on an iPod for my daughter last Christmas. The sales clerk just needed to see the website ad and gave us the same price on the iPod. The online store had to have a brick and mortar store and be either a major competitor or a local store.
